Everyone who knows me knows that my favorite weekend of the year is Columbus Day weekend, because that's when my hometown celebrates Autumnfest. Autumnfest Weekend is really no big deal if you don't like apple picking, pumpkins, local bands, fair food, cool weather, crafts, carnival rides, New England, or anything that's good. 

Waltham's Sheep Shearing Festival at Gore Place is my springtime equivalent to Autumnfest. It's only 1 day, not an entire weekend, so we've hit some rainy days in the past. But this year, the 30th anniversary of the festival, was bright and beautiful and perfect. My favorite part is the sheep dog herding demonstration -  "BONNIE, NO!!!" (you'd get that if you've been to sheepfest). And also watching the sheep completely surrender immediately when they are taken out of the pen to be sheared. 

I AM SO BEHIND on posts, it's crazy. Back in April (yes, APRIL), my husband had coworkers visiting from Poland. He organized a little weekend outing to show them the Boston Freedom Trail, and I tagged along because, well, I've never done the Freedom Trail despite living 15 minutes outside of Boston. "YOU'VE NEVER DONE THE FREEDOM TRAIL?!" said every Boston person that we know. No. I had never done it. 

It was a beautiful spring day, and thank god it was chilly, because I would never have made it all the way up the 300-something steps in the Bunker Hill Monument if it had been hot weather.

IT'S ALMOST TIME FOR THE WEDDDDDING!!! Mike and Lindsay's family and friends threw a beautiful, travel-themed wedding shower. Looking forward to celebrating the big day with them soon. <3
