February is my second favorite month (after October, obviously). It's my birthday month (yay!). This February, I got roses for Valentine's day, and my mom got me a beautiful purple-ish tulip plant for my birthday. It felt like spring in Boston today, so instead of actually going outside, I spent some of the morning photographing the flowers that are displayed INSIDE (because I'm a crazy person).
This was also my first time playing around with macro photography. I don't have a fancy macro lens, but I DO have a wicked cheap macro attachment for one of my lenses. I bought it probably 5 years ago and have never used it. Until today.
I've taken a couple of classes at Boston Photography Workshops - a beginner food photography class, a studio lighting class, and today, I was one of 6 lucky students to get to sit in on BPW's first portrait class. Thank you to Anthony, the instructor, for running a great class, and to Gaby, for being a very patient model.
Our cousin, Samatha, and her fiance, Matt will be married this spring! We spent a day out in Western MA visiting some of their favorite spots for a little engagement shoot. So much fun!

This weekend, we went on an alpaca adventure! Acorn Alpaca Farm in Millis, MA hosted it's annual Winter Open House event. We took a ride out and spent some time with a couple dozen ALPACASSSSS. They also had two very serious guard llamas watching over the herd.
If you get a chance, check out their website!
happy birthday, chapin
